A camper for any adventure.

When I was younger, I would wait in anticipation for the school holidays for more adventures with my grandparents in their caravan.

Looking back, it must have been stressful for my grandparents. I remember us breaking down on the motorway while towing the caravan, watching my grandad roll the water tank across a field before fiddling it to the caravan (and maybe dropping a few bad words in the process)

We would sleep in the awning and wake up to daddy long legs crawling up the tent. The smell of damp grass and plastic will always transport back to those times.

Adventures in the woods, climbing and falling out of trees and even though I do not remember, but there are photos to prove it, we would wash in plastic storage boxes.

I’ve always wanted to share the same experiences of the outdoors with my own children but without the manual labour of dragging water tanks or wondering how many bugs crawled into your mouth while you slept.

When Breeze Van Centres announced their Breeze Campers rental services, I could imagine just how we could combine the freedom and excitement of camping but without the stress of pitching up tents or having to pack up extra sleeping bags to stay warm in the unpredictable English weather.

We first took out the Caddy California, a compact family camper that offers comfort and convenience for adventures big or small.

As a young family of 4 we snuggly fit in to the foldout bed and made great use of the mini-kitchen in the back to make pancakes in the morning. There aren’t showering or toilet facilities in the Caddy California so a pitch with these facilities is essential for a family but as a couple you could probably get away with a little portable toilet.

For extra room the additional tent offers more space for sleepers and living space.

If you want more internal space, then you can go for the California Ocean.

Complete with internal mini kitchen with gas hob and sink and built in cupboards, the camper has four seats and a bed extension and pop-up roof with loft bed that collectively will sleep four.

The loft bed has a beautiful panoramic front opening to watch the sunset or rise and take in the great outdoors.

And lastly, my favourite of the campers we’ve hired is the Grand California which gives you full freedom to explore.

Everything you need is under one roof, a separate wet room, dining/living space as well as kitchen area with hob, sink, fridge, and freezer.

The Grand California will sleep four with a transverse bed at the bottom and an over-cab bed. We decided our two boys were too little to go up the top, so they slept in the bottom bed with me.

To find your perfect camper for your adventure, you can head to their website and check out all the specs that meet your requirement.

Whether you are looking for a family adventure, wanting to spend some quality time with your partner or looking to get together with friends, there is a camper for you!
